Dear Parents,

Earlier this fall we sent out a survey to identify how many of our school families need before and after school care services. The responses we received were enough to justify the cost of operating this program. Thank you for your feedback and patience as we worked to redesign the before/aftercare program. Anytime there is a need at our school, we endeavor to assess and resolve those needs to the best of our ability.

We are excited to announce that our Before/Aftercare Program will start on January 4th, 2022 and that we are offering a more affordable rate than the Tazewell County Health Department. Our program is structured to provide discounts to students enrolled in more days per week, as those commitments keep our program operational. Families can purchase a 10 punch pass if they need the program irregularly. All registered families will be charged a one-time $20 non-refundable enrollment fee to cover the cost of supplies. All fees will be charged through FACTS monthly, like tuition.

Korissa Burns has recently accepted one of the Before/Aftercare Program Leader positions. For those who do not know Korissa, she has over 20 years working in customer service and is a tremendous asset to SJS by volunteering religiously during lunch duty and several other school needs.

We are still seeking to fill at least one more Program Leader role, ideally during the Aftercare Shift. If you know someone who would be a great addition to SJS, please encourage them to apply on our website. Attached to this email are Frequently Asked Questions, Rates & Schedules, and the Enrollment Form to complete for your child(ren). Once enrolled, more details will be provided regarding communicating your child’s attendance and schedule changes.

We are excited to offer this in house service to our SJS students at an affordable rate and we know it will be a fun and educational experience!

We Pray Here,

Ed Commission
